Exploring the pervasive stereotypes and obstacles that affect Black men, WACO hosted a screening of the Discovery+ docuseries Profiled: The Black Man, with Co-Artistic Director and Executive Producer Tina Knowles Lawson and longtime WACO collaborator Trell Thomas. The four-part series includes interviews with celebrities, educators and everyday people confronting controversial topics and highlighting Black men who are changing the narrative. The event included a post-screening conversation, hosted in collaboration with Essence Magazine’s Senior Editor of Entertainment Brande Victorian and a reception sponsored by Jack Daniel’s.
